Barangay Bancal is one of the fourthteen (14) urbanized barangays comprising the progressive municipality of Carmona in the province of Cavite, Philippines. It lies for about 4 kilometers away from the town proper of Carmona and is situated at the southern part of the municipality. The uttermost barangay of Carmona. Located here the famous race track namely: Carmona Raicing Circuit. According to the 2010 Census it has a population of 8,570 people in a land area of 520.0 square kilometres.

Barangay Bancal is located on the eastern part of the municipality of Carmona. Approximately 36 kilometers South of Manila and 38 kilometers from Trece Martires City, Cavite’s Provincial Capital. It is bounded on the North by Barangay Mabuhay, East and Northeast by Barangay Lantic, West and Southwest by the Municipality of General Mariano Alvarez (GMA) and Silang, Cavite on the South and Southeast.
With a total land area of 520,000 hectares or 520.0 square kilometers. Carmona represented 2.17% of the total land area of the province. This area is occupied almost 17% of the total land area of the municipality.[1]
The topography of Barangay Bancal is the hilly and mountainous area with slope ranging from 15% to more than 40%. They are situated at a very high elevation.
Barangay Bancal has two pronounced seasons – the dry season, which usually begins in November and ends in April, and the rainy season, which starts in May and ends in October. Barangay Bancal is cool periods are from December to February while summer months are from April to May. March, April, May, June, and July are the warmest months with an average temperature of 28.8 degrees Celsius. January, February and December are cooler with an average temperature of 25.8 degrees Celsius.
According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 8,570 people in a land area of 520.0 square kilometres.

More time passed the area is mostly forest, most of the tree is called "Bancal". It is yellow and efficient wood in building houses and firewood. Almost all residents have houses made of Bancal. during the Japanese Occupation, the people living here are cutting of the woods and making firewood and sold in the bakery. Because of the important caused by the wood, the barrio is called Bancal.[2]
